1. Purpose
This application (Android) is intended to receive notifications sent by the AlphaProvServer server software concerning the activity of the sections of the Alpha Provence Sports association.
To do this, users must:
- Load the application on the Playstore,
- Choose from the presented topics which ones should provide notifications.
Once the subscriptions have been chosen, a notification is sent to each subscribed phone, whether the application is launched or not.
Notifications are not sent if the phone is asleep but they will be displayed as soon as the user acts on their device.

2. Use
After installation, the home screen appears and a subscription is positioned (general information on the association – General Alpha).

2.1. Usage permissions Notifications
Depending on the Android version of the phone, the software may ask you to validate receipt of notifications (from Android 13 and later).
- If you validate the receipt of notifications for this application (choice 'continue on the application'), the software is in its normal execution configuration and it will no longer ask you for this permission
- If you do not validate this permission (choice ‘Stop the application’), the software will notify you and stop
If you have refused permission, the application will ask you to validate receipt of notifications the next time you launch the application.
For Android versions lower than 13, the software warns you if notifications are not authorized, and it is necessary to intervene in the Android settings.

2.2. Use
On the home screen, the user can:
- check the version of the application and read online help (3 small dots at the top right bring up the screen (version and online help)
- check or modify your subscriptions by clicking on 'Manage your subscriptions'
From the subscriptions screen, the user can choose to add or remove subscriptions. Your choice will be taken into account when you press ‘Your notifications’. This consideration must be validated or refused (if there is an error in their choice, for example), and in both cases, the user returns to the home screen.

When a notification is received, an icon is displayed in the applications bar (at the top of the phone) with the notification sound.
The user must click on this notification (bring it down), which has the effect of opening the AlphaProvApp application and displaying the notification(s) received.
Notifications are displayed in a list (most recent first), and include the arrival time, subject, and text of the notification.
You can scroll through the list of notifications, and each notification can be cleared by swiping to the right.
All notifications are cleared when the app is closed.
If notifications are received simultaneously, the application only keeps the last 10.


3. Constraints
This application is only available on Android (from Android9)
- It is necessary to authorize the reception of notifications either via the application (from Android 13) or in the phone settings
- It is necessary to keep your phone on and not leave it off for a long time (more than a month). He would no longer automatically receive notifications
- It is necessary to look at the notifications sent from time to time to avoid losing any (the application only keeps the last 10 notifications)
- In case of an update, you may be asked to uninstall / reinstall the application because certain types of modifications require uninstallation. In most cases the update will be seamless
