An ambient sound distractor is an application of background sounds. The program uses sounds from the environment that imitate naturally occurring sounds such as: street noise, sounds of conversations, nature.
The sound distractor teaches you to focus on important information, ignoring irrelevant sounds from the environment. The aim is to shape attention and concentration, resistance to distraction by applying the power of a sound distractor, adaptively adjusting to the child's abilities. This feature contributes to the normalization of auditory sensitivity. If there are difficulties with the task, the power of the distractor decreases, and if the correct answers are given, its power increases.
The program is the result of many years of work and experience created by a neurologist, surdologopedist, educator, doctoral student at the Medical University of Warsaw - Aneta Pakieła.
