However, there is a challenge as humans can detect and develop cures for the virus or bacteria, potentially ruining the player’s efforts.
To keep the game engaging, there’s a restart mechanic that allows players to start over with bonuses like higher infectiousness or a reduced cure rate. Players check in daily to ensure their strain isn’t cured while utilizing a skill tree to make strategic upgrades. Some upgrades improve the strain’s ability to avoid detection, extending the time before a cure is developed, while others increase its infectiousness or mortality, each with trade-offs.
