The characters are like common wolves. They can be tamed, but not with a bone. You need to use dollars, an item that drops from villagers or characters. Usually 3 dollars falls, but sometimes 6 can fall.
When you hold the dollar, the characters will become your friends and guards. They will follow you if you tell them so. Cartman will follow you faster than other characters.
You can find symbols, they are rarely found in the icy plains.
