From February 22 to May 30, 2021, the City of Cannes is presenting the "Collector - Burglar" exhibition at the Suquet des Artistes, which presents the collection of François Fauchon. 98 works that lift the veil on part of the collection of this figure of contemporary art from Nice.

The selection of works highlights the passion of the Nice collector for contemporary painting. Self-taught, François Fauchon has formed his taste by browsing museums and galleries but above all by going to meet artists. The exhibition presents to the public paintings by young artists (Axel Pahlavi, Gilles Miquélis or Stéphane Pencréac'h) but also by contemporary painters recognized by galleries and cultural institutions (Valérie Favre, Gérard Garouste, Louis Cane, Omar Ba, etc. .). All of the works reveal the complex personality of François Fauchon, focusing on a relationship with the body and death, forging a link between his profession and his passion.
