Performances have a special meaning for musicians. They shape aspects of self-confidence, self-efficacy and dealing with stage fright. The more closely you deal with your own performance experience, the more a positive way of dealing with it can arise. This app was developed in order to be able to record the valuable impressions before, during and after a performance and to make them usable as feedback for self-reflection of the performance.
Stage: Cool is based on the validated performance questionnaire for musicians (FZAM, Spahn and Nusseck (FIM)). The focus of the questionnaire is on experiencing excitement, dealing with stage fright and self-efficacy at a performance. The questions used relate to the times shortly before the performance, during the performance and directly after the performance. Every performance is also evaluated with regard to musical criteria and characteristics of the respective performance situation are recorded.
After answering the questions, the mean values ​​for experiencing excitement, dealing with stage fright and self-efficacy before, during and after the performance are shown graphically. Additional information about the performance can also be viewed. The entered data is stored in a database with a date stamp on the usage device.
The Stage: Cool app manages a directory of all appearances in order to be able to call up the entered data again afterwards. Individual or multiple appearances can be selected together and viewed as mean values ​​or histograms.
