Jhené Aiko, whose full name is Jhené Aiko Efuru Chilombo, born March 16, 1988 in Los Angeles, California, is an American singer-songwriter.
Jhené Aiko1 was born and lived in Los Angeles. She is the daughter of Christina Yamamoto, of Baglanese and Japanese descent, and Dr Karamo Chilombo, a pediatrician (real name Gregory Wycliff Barnes) of African-American, Native American (Yaqui, Choctaw, Cherokee) and German ancestry.
When she was 4 years old, she was traumatized by the police violence inflicted on Rodney King and by the riots that followed. Victims of racist mockery, her parents decide to home school her.
