A Journey to Trace the Traces of Islam in Europe

This book is a travel record of a quest. A trip that made me discover many other things that are far more interesting than just the Eiffel Tower, the Berlin Wall, the Mozart Concert, the San Siro Football Stadium, the Roman Colosseum, or the vacancies in Venice. My search has led me to a new list of pilgrimage places in Europe that I had never heard of before. Indeed, these places of pilgrimage are not holy places whose names have been mentioned in the Qur'an or the stories of the prophets. But by visiting these places, I got to know my own religious identity more and more. Made me fall in love with Islam even more.

Europe and Islam. They had been a perfect couple. Now the relationship between the two is full of ups and downs of prejudice with various dynamics. Various incidents since the last 10 years—for example the bombings in Madrid and London, following the September 11 terrorist attacks in America, the controversy over the cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad, and the film Fitna in the Netherlands—have caused serious tensions between the Islamic world and Europe. I feel that there are human beings from both sides who continue to work to exacerbate the relationship between the two. Wounds and grudges resulting from hundreds of years of Crusades that apparently still leave an impression to this day.


Hopefully the material content of this application can be useful for self-introspection and better improvement in everyday life.
