Different circles of society are currently being forced to take positions regarding the status of women. It is almost never stated in the literature that Islam had addressed the topic of women's rights more than 1400 years ago, long before it was something that was discussed very seriously in some cultures, particularly in the West.

The issue of women's rights has received enormous attention in the West and Westernized societies over the last decades. Only the Prophet Muhammad, through Divine revelation, was able to restore the dignity and rights of women who lived in humiliating conditions for centuries before they, in other nations, were granted some of their rights.

Many feminist writers have enthusiastically criticized the treatment of Muslim women. At times, they mix up the pure teachings of Islam with irresponsible individual acts or cultural practices. However, some may be deliberately prejudiced because the publication of their works derives a high income from the sales of their books.

The business is especially lucrative today when the basic teachings of Islam are unjustly attacked. Works like that pay no attention to Islamic teachings. As a result, they do not try to distinguish between the actions of some Muslims and the religion which they may be very ignorant about.
