This book is a trilogy of previous books, namely Usul Fiqh Contemporary Economics and Finance: From Theory to Applications published by Kencana-Prenada Media 2016 (Cet. I) and 2018 (Cet. II) and Maqasid Sharia Economics" This book is expected to provide an understanding to students comprehensively, both theoretically and practically regarding the methodology and philosophical foundations in the development of innovative Islamic banking product contracts.

In general, the principles of fiqh are very urgent subjects to be taught at the Faculty of Sharia and Business Economics. Because fiqh rules have an important role in the development of Islamic law, especially the development of innovative contracts initiated by the DSN-MUI Fatwa. That is why, it is not surprising that almost all of the economic fatwas of the DSN-MUI always use the fikili rule as an argument in the development of contracts in fiqh muamalah.

Therefore, literature that specifically discusses fiqh principles that are applicable to contemporary economic and financial contracts is absolutely needed. Ironically, there is not much literature on the principles of jurisprudence that specifically discusses it comprehensively, both theoretically and practically, in the application of contemporary muamalah contracts. The presence of this book, in order to meet the needs of students to understand the substance of fiqh rules as a basis for the development of Leurelis and practical economic contract products in the world of Islamic banking.
