And he is also a scholar of hadith, commentator, historian, sunnah expert, has many works of high value and useful for Muslims. And among them is this book of commentaries.

He was a defender of the salaf school of thought in his time. Even though at first he grew up in the group of the Zaidiyah Syi'ah school, but thanks to his perseverance and enthusiasm for true knowledge, he finally returned to the true school, namely the expert sunnah wal-jama'ah school as held by the generation of salafus soleh .

After that, he also wrote his famous book entitled As-Sail Al-Jarrar Al-Mutadaffiq 'ala Hada'iq Al-Azhar. In this book, Imam Al-Syaukani criticizes all the thoughts and opinions of the Shia Zaidiyah group, and exposes various lies that the Zaidiyah group has concocted. At the same time upholding the expert salaf school of Sunnah Wal-Jama'ah.
