This Android application is an explanation of the summary of the Aqidah and Manhaj of Imam Syafi'i by Al-Ustadz Nurul Mukhlisin, M.Ag.. in Pdf format.

1. His name is Muhammad bin Idris bin Al-Abbas bin Uthman bin Syafi'i bin Ubaid bin Abdu Yazid bin Hasyim bin Al-Muttalib (Father Abdul Muttalib, grandfather of Rasulullah Shallallahu 'alaihi wa Salam) bin Abdi Manaf. He met his lineage with Rasulullah Shallallahu 'alaihi wa Salam to Abdi Manaf.

He has the title Nashirul Hadith (defender of hadith), because of his persistence in defending hadith and his commitment to following the sunnah of the Prophet Shallallahu 'alaihi wa Salam.

2. The Birth of Imam Al-Baihaqi states, "Imam Ash-Shafi'i was born in the city of Ghazzah, then brought to Asqalan, then brought to Mecca.

Ibn Hajar added, "Imam Ash-Shafi'i was born in a place called Ghazzah in the city of Asqalan. When he was two years old his mother took him to the Hijaz and lived with people of Yemeni descent because his mother was from the Azdiyah tribe. At the age of 10, he was taken to Mecca because he was worried that his noble lineage would disappear.

3. His journey to study: At the age of 7 Imam Ash-Syafi'i finished memorizing the Qur'an and at the age of 10 he memorized Al-Muwaththa' by Imam Malik, aged 15 with the permission of his teacher named Muslimbin Khalid Az-Zanji to give a fatwa. He also memorized a lot of Hudzail's poems. After that he went to Medina to study jurisprudence from Imam Malik bin Anas until Imam Malik died in 179 H, after which he studied from Sufyan bin 'Uyainah.

From the proceeds of mortgaging his house for 16 dinars, Imam Syafi'i went to Yemen. Due to his inability he worked in Yemen while studying from the scholars there including Ibn Abi Yahya and others.
