Al-Bidayah wan Nihayah or the Date of Ibn Kathir is a historical book compiled by Al-Hafizh Ibn Katsir (w 774 H). The discussion of this book begins with the creation of the universe, the heavens and the earth, angels, the first humans, then the stories of the prophets and previous people up to the last Prophet, then figures, dynasties (khilafah/daulah) and events that occurred in the centuries passed in the Islamic period up to the author's time, then followed by events that will occur at the end of time such as signs of the coming of the end of time, journeys to the afterlife, resurrection to the hereafter, Heaven and Hell whose stories are taken based on the hadith of the prophet. the whole story is well told through the qur'an and also the hadith of the prophet.
