Philosophy (Islam) is one of the fields that drains the energy of Muslims from the start. Not only related to conceptual (academic) debates, but also pushing into non-academic areas. On the one hand, philosophy is believed to be able to elevate human dignity, enlighten reason, on the other hand, philosophy is considered (too) as the culprit that divides people.
