This Buddhism and Character Education subject book was prepared as a follow-up to the simplified 2013 Curriculum adjustments. Some of the rules that have been adapted are Learning Outcomes for Buddhist Education and Character Education Subjects which consist of three elements, namely History, Ritual and Ethics.
In line with the Pancasila values, the basic principles of the state are to become students of Pancasila with noble character and global diversity, through efforts to promote and preserve culture, strengthen religious moderation, by exploring four holistic developments as a Buddhist education entity, including physical development (kaya-bhavana), moral development. and social (sīla-bhavana), mental development (citta -bhavana), and development of knowledge and wisdom (panna -bhavana).
We would like to thank the book authors who have contributed their time, energy and thought so that this book on the subject of Buddhism and Character Education could be compiled. We hope that this book can support improving the competency of graduates of all educational units in line with the demands of the times.
