Hello class IX students. The English for Nusantara book is back for you. This English for Nusantara Class IX book will accompany you to explore the use of English in your school, home and daily life. This book will accompany you to learn various topics, language use, illustrations, and learning activities that are adapted to your environment as a teenager in communicating using English. You will be accompanied again by Galang, Monita, and Andre to learn English in the context of the home and school environment.

The English for Nusantara Student Book has been developed in accordance with the Learning Outcomes contained in the Merdeka Curriculum. Later you will learn English, moving from spoken language skills to written language. The language skills focused on in this book include listening, speaking, reading, viewing, writing and representing which are presented in an integrated manner in various types of text.

There are various types of texts that you will study later. Starting from narrative text, recount, descriptive, report, to procedure. Report text is a new text studied in Class IX which is in the same family as descriptive text which you have studied in Class VII and VIII. The report text presented in the Class IX book focuses on factual texts related to typical Indonesian animals.

You will also learn English through various exciting activities such as discussing and conveying desires or feelings in dialogues.

In this book you will also practice the Pancasila Student Profile and important topics from the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations (UN). Later you will have the opportunity to explore experiences through topics related to environmental awareness, fitness, financial literacy and mental health.

The English for Nusantara Class IX book will motivate and support you in mastering English as mandated in the Merdeka Curriculum Learning Outcomes. Through the topics, illustrations and characters displayed, students in class IX will be able to explore English. Later, your confidence in using English will increase.
