The teacher's guidebook for dance subjects is a book used by teachers as a guide in the learning process. This book is a book prepared by the government in order to implement learning outcomes in dance subjects.

The position of the teacher's guidebook is a guide in carrying out the learning process starting from preparation, implementation, and assessment as well as guidelines for using student books. The teacher's guidebook aims to make it easier for teachers to deliver learning material and as a guide in improving/improving learning activities so that they can support the achievement of the Pancasila student profile.

The profile of Pancasila students is in accordance with the Vision and Mission of the Ministry of Education and Culture as stated in the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 22 of 2020 concerning the Strategic Plan of the Ministry of Education and Culture for 2020-2024, Pancasila students are the embodiment of Indonesian students as lifelong learners who have global competence and behave in accordance with the values ​​of Pancasila, with six main characteristics, namely faith, devotion to God Almighty, and noble character, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, critical reasoning and creativity.

The teacher's guidebook for dance subjects was prepared to assist class XI students in learning and support the achievement of the Pancasila student profile. Based on the characteristics of art subjects listed in the 2020 learning outcomes, art is a human response and expression and appreciation of various life phenomena, both from within a person and from outside a person (culture, history, nature and the environment) which are then expressed through media ( dance, music, art, play/theater).

Art is universal, it penetrates the barriers of difference and gives voice to what language cannot represent. Art invites humans to experience, feel and express beauty. Through arts education, humans are invited to think and work artistically in order to be humane, creative, have aesthetic appreciation, respect global diversity and be psychologically prosperous so that it has an impact on life and sustainable learning.

Class XI dance subjects are included in phase F. Phase E-F is intended for classes and the relationship between aspects of art from a personal perspective, which can be used as inspiration to create individual and group dance performances as a form of self-actualization in influencing others.
