This book reminds us of death, describes the awesomeness of sakaratul maut, and explains the characteristics of husnul khatimah and preparations for dealing with it. His presentation refers to authentic narrations in the form of the hadith of the Prophet, the wills of his companions, the advice of the scholars, as well as the stories of pious salaf generations when they were about to die.

Provisions for Reaching Death that Husnul Khatimah is literature that reveals the mystery of death, and contains valuable lessons that can be learned from death itself. Written by Shaykh Majdi Muhammad asy-Syahawi, a contemporary Egyptian scholar who is well-known as one of the strongholds of the as-Salaf ash-shâlih school of thought in his country.

This work will lead us to carry out self-evaluation (muhâsabah an-nafs) by always remembering death, and awaken the moral-spiritual awareness of readers as servants of Allah to be ready to face it and achieve husnul khatimah.

Shaykh Majdi Muhammad asy-Shahawi

Born in Egypt in 1963 in the middle of a simple small family in a small village in Dimyath Province. Had taught for a while at his alma mater, Manshurah University, after leaving his formal education in 1983. However, driven by his love of religion, he stopped teaching to preach preaching and write.

His works have reached more than 100 titles, both in the form of writings and works of tahqîq (research) on classical texts. His books discuss a lot about muhâsabah an-nafs, morals, the unseen realm, the barzakh world, the tempest of the Doomsday, heaven and hell, and death.
