Ulama have a central position in the midst of Muslim society. They are teachers for young people, priests for old people, muftis for throne holders, generals for the armed forces, and agents of change for the history of a nation.

So great is the role and services of the clergy. Therefore, they should be respected and valued, including the inheritance of their descendants.

Among the scholars who provide perfect ethical guidance to teachers are: Maulana Syekh Isma'il bin Syekh Muhammad Thahir al-Alabi al-Banjari (hereinafter referred to as "Datu Isma'il"), may Allah ta'ala bless him, Aamiin.

Among the ethics of Datu Isma'il are:
1. Accompanying his teacher's evenings.
2. Loyal to bring a lamp for his teacher.
3. Mulazamah perfect with his teacher; left with his permission and married of his choice.
4. Obey the teacher.

It is commonly known that ethics is like ink for a pen, it is impossible for a pen to write without ink, as it is often said "Science is like salt and ethics is like flour".
