Qadar according to language, namely: Masdar (origin of the word) from qadara yaqduru qadaran, and sometimes the letter daal is given (qadran).

Ibn Faris said, Qadara: qaf, daal and raa'' have the meaning of the end or peak of everything. It was stated: Qadruhu kadza, i.e. the end. Likewise Al-Qadar, and qadartusy syai 'aqdiruhu, and aqduruhu from at-taqdiir.

Qadar (which is given the vowel on the letter daal) is qadha' (certainty) and law, namely certainty and laws in various matters that have not been determined by Allah azza wa Jalla.

Taqdir is contemplating and thinking in order to equate something. Qadar is the same as Qadr. the plural form of both is Aqdaar.

The difference, as revealed by Abu Hilal Al-'Akari, is that destiny is used to show the deeds of the servant while qadar is only used to show the deeds of Allah.
