Qashidah Burdah is not just a masterpiece. It is read for the beauty of its words. Dr. De Sacy, an Arabic language expert at the Sorbonne University, France, praised it as the best poetic work of all time.

In Hadhramaut and many other areas of Yemen there are recitations of the Burdah qashidah every Friday dawn or Tuesday afternoon afternoon. Meanwhile, many Al-Azhar scholars in the city of Egypt specialize on Thursday for reading Burdah and conducting studies.
