Udhiyah (qurban) is slaughtered from livestock on the days of Eid al-Adha because of the holiday, as a form of self-approach to Allah.

This includes the teachings of Islam which are prescribed based on the book of Allah, the sunnah of the Prophet and the agreement of the Muslims.

Allah says: “So establish prayer for your Lord; and make sacrifices.” (Al-Kautsar: 2).

Allah also said: "Say: verily my prayer, my worship, my life and my death are for Allah, the Lord of the worlds. There is no partner for Him; and thus was commanded me and I was the first to surrender." (Al-An'am: 162-163).

What is meant by "stab" is slaughter, as Said bin Jubair said

Some say: "Nusuk is all types of worship including slaughtering", and this interpretation is more general.

Allah also said: "And for each nation We have prescribed slaughter, so that they may mention the name of Allah for the livestock that Allah has provided for them, then your worship is the worship of the Almighty, therefore submit yourselves to Him. And give glad tidings to those who are obedient." (Al-Hajj: 34).
