As Aventuras do Mumbuquinha is an action adventure game set in the city of Maricá. The protagonist, Mumbuquinha, is a curious and fearless boy who, while exploring the nature of the city, is unexpectedly teleported into a magical video game. There, he discovers that Maricá is threatened by a growing wave of pollution that puts its beaches, lagoons and forests at risk.

With the help of special items inspired by local culture and powers acquired by completing ecological challenges, Mumbuquinha faces enemies such as garbage monsters, toxic smoke and bosses that represent environmentally harmful habits.
