Legend has it that once, long ago, magical guardians lived in the Pacific Islands. Since they’ve left, the people and the land have become sick. But, hope is not lost. One day, a brave young hero may rediscover the guardians’ secrets and find the hidden relics they left behind. Could you be that hero?

Beyond the Stars Mobile is a free educational adventure game that teaches children about healthy eating, physical activity, local foods and the environment. Designed as part of a larger transmedia program for the Pacific Islands, the game invites you to explore a magical world and become the hero of your own story as you work to bring health and happiness back to the land.

LEARN ABOUT
● How lots of different foods - and how they’re prepared - can be healthy or unhealthy for us.
● What makes food healthy (fibre, protein, vitamins and minerals) and unhealthy (salt, sugar and fat).
● How eating balanced meals with lots of different foods will help us stay fit and strong.
● The importance of eating lots of local foods and how good it is to grow your own.

KEEP YOUR VILLAGE HEALTHY
● Create your very own character with crazy hair, unique clothes and fun accessories.
● Play mini games to earn cards that will help you keep your village happy.
● Feed your village only the food cards that will help them grow healthy and strong.
● Use map cards to travel to other islands to learn the guardians’ secrets and find their hidden relics.
Assemble your own Rugby 7 teams and challenge other islands

VISIT OTHER ISLANDS
● Rarama Island: The volcano on this island is angry and the people are sick. Can you help them learn about healthy and unhealthy foods so they can start looking after the island again?
● Loloma Island: The people here have started eating lots of junk food, and forgotten to look after the land. Can you help them bring life back by growing their own local foods?
● Totoka Island: The storms on this island are getting worse and worse. Can you help people here take better care of the land so they can all be happy again?

PLAY FUN MINI GAMES
● Food Chop: Chop foods into the cooking pot to make the healthiest meal you can!
● Snack Pack: Throw all the bad foods into the bin before they make it into your backpack!
● Food Run: Jump, duck, swerve and collect all the good foods you can as you outrun the lizard!
● Meal Deal: Keep King Lizard happy by feeding him only the types of food he asks for!

Bringing together film, virtual reality, storybooks and this mobile game, the program creates a fun and immersive learning environment for children.
