The slave chapter in Islamic fiqh literature occupies a fairly long chapter. Mukatab chapter, al-'Itqu chapter, Mudabbar chapter, Umm Walad chapter, al-Wala' chapter are among the chapters that are often found in classical fiqh books.

It's just that usually the chapter is like a foreign chapter. Not infrequently the kyai or ustadz just skip the chapters above.

Apart from being in separate chapters, slaves often become examples of fiqh law and are included in other chapters such as the chapter on Friday prayers and congregations that are not obligatory for slaves, the chapter on covering the genitals of slaves, the chapter on fines after making mistakes in the Shari'a, the chapter on marriage, and others.

Many also ask, why does Islam not forbid slavery? This question seems to want to discredit Islamic teachings from today's point of view.

Slavery is actually a classic problem, meaning that it has been around for a long time. Even when Socrates, Plato and Aristotle lived there was slavery. However, Islam made shari'ah to liberate slaves and vice versa did not shari'ah enslave slavery.

Meanwhile, when slavery developed, it was not because of Islam. As mentioned above, slavery existed since before the advent of Islam.
