The Qur'an is the revealed word of Allah

It is sufficient proof that the Qur'an has superiority and glory, when it is the Kalam (words) of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, the All-Knowing, the Most Wise, the Most Blessing, the Most High. From Him it is sent down and to Him it returns.

Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala said: "And if one of the polytheists asks you for protection, then protect him so that he can hear the word of Allah, then take him to a safe place for him. That's because they are a people who don't know." (Q.S. Al-Taubah: 6).

This verse explains that the Qur'an that is read and heard and written on the pages of the Mushaf is the true Kalam (words) of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. It is not just a retelling of the Kalam (words) of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala.

This verse also shows that the Qur'an was also revealed from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. This means that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala spoke directly through His Word, then Jibril 'Alaihissalam heard it from Him, then he revealed it and conveyed it to Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alahi wa Sallam, as he heard it from his Lord, the Most High.

So one of the virtues of the Qur'an is that it is actually the word of the Lord of the worlds, and it is not a creature. Words that have no likeness and qualities (of Allah) that have no likeness or comparison to Him.
