Sport Club Corinthians Paulista is a Brazilian sports club based in the city of São Paulo, capital of the state of São Paulo. It was founded as a football team on September 1, 1910 by a group of workers from the Bom Retiro neighborhood. Its name was inspired by Corinthian FC from London, which toured Brazil.
