Poppy Playtime is a first-person survival horror where the player plays as a former employee of Playtime Co. who by Poppy Playtime plot returns to the abandoned toy factory of said company after receiving a letter from the staff who were thought to have disappeared 10 years ago. The Poppy Playtime protagonist discovers that Huggy Wuggy, a large humanoid figure that acts as the mascot of the company, is alive and is malicious towards them.


In the game Poppy Playtime, you will use the GrabPack, one of the items used by the old Playtime Co. Employees. It is a backpack equipped with a pair of arms attached to steel cables that, in Poppy Playtime, allow you to grab items from afar, lift heavy objects, and perform a series of actions that will allow you to solve complex puzzles as you explore the Poppy Playtime factory.
