The Compassion Project is a public, collaborative art project located in Bozeman, MT. The artwork was sourced from thousands of community members and local students. Each artist completed a 8" x 8" block on the theme of Compassion. Each artist also wrote an artist's statement to accompany their block.
The Compassion Project app allows visitors at the exhibits to look up the artist's statement that corresponds to a given block by ID number. The artist's statement is displayed to the user, as well as a picture of the block, an anonymous description of the artist (ie, 5th grader), and the option to favorite a block. Users can revisit their favorite blocks in the Favorites screen.
