The work of Indonesian cleric, Al-Alamah as-Shaykh Muhammad Kholil bin Abdul Latif Al-Bangkalani or better known as Syaikhona Kholil Bangkalan. As the name suggests, this book is a matan (core) book which talks about the basic fundamentals of Islamic law (fiqh science). What is interesting about this 52-page book is not only the character of the author, but also that this book has presented a scientific 'landscape' that previously seemed complicated, becoming so straightforward and certainly easy to understand.

Carrying a big theme regarding the validity of a servant's worship. In this case, Syaikhona Kholil, like other authors of books with similar themes, begins the discussion by outlining the demands for purification (thaharah). This is nothing more than the first stage before the next ritual of worship (p. 6-14). After that, he explained the prerequisites before praying along with the problems. Even so, he presented the requirements for harmony, sunnah, and also the rules that must be fulfilled to obtain the title of plenary worship. In the next explanation, he presented the problems of caring for corpses (tajhizul janaiz), romadlon fasting, i'tikaf and ended with the minutes of Hajj and Umrah.

And in the end, this book succeeded in bridging difficulties in understanding Islamic literature, especially in (the process of) studying jurisprudence. And of course, the presence of this book is a concrete step in showing Syaikhona Kholil's concern for future generations. This book, which was completed on the evening of Wednesday 17 Rajab 1299 Hijriyah, at least further completes the 'barn' of knowledge which contains the hope of creating a generation of learners in the future.
