Ibn Hisham was born in Cairo in the month of Dhul Qa'dah in 708 H/1306 AD, and grew up there. Ibn Hisyam Al-Ansari died on Thursday night Friday in the month of Dzul Qa'dah in 761 H/1360 AD. He was buried after Friday prayers at the ash-Shufiyyah cemetery outside Bab an-Nashr, Cairo.

He studied a lot of knowledge during his time in the form of nahwu, sharaf, fiqh, qiraat, tafsir, adab and lughat in front of the people of his time with great patience. He also said: "Whoever is patient in seeking knowledge, he will achieve achievement. Whoever wants to propose goodness, must be patient in sacrifice. Anyone who does not subdue his desires in achieving something noble will live a long time as a lowly person."

Muqhni Labib's book discusses special rules in Arabic, in Indonesia it is often called Nahwu science. He said the purpose of writing this book was to serve Islam so that everyone could understand the Qur'an easily.
