Learning is the core of educational activities. The teaching and learning process, which is now better known as learning, is one of the main aspects determining the quality of education. Therefore, solving the problem of low quality education must focus on the quality of learning. In this context, teachers have a very important role in the learning process.

Teachers act as informators (sources of information), organizers (managers of teaching activities), motivators (give encouragement to students), directors (directors of students' learning activities), initiators (originators of ideas in the learning process), transmitters (disseminators of educational wisdom ), facilitator (makes learning easier), mediator (mediator in learning activities), and evaluator (assessor of student learning outcomes). This requires the professionalism of a teacher.

In general, teachers are not born but are formed first through a process of learning and training. Micro learning or what is better known as micro teaching is a technique or training method designed to develop the teaching skills of prospective teachers. Micro-teaching is very useful in teacher practice, not only in pre-service programs but also in in-service programs, which are held in order to stimulate the professionalism of teachers/teacher candidates.

Micro teaching is one of the mandatory courses in every education and teacher training faculty, both in general universities and religious universities that have education faculties. This necessitates the existence of a guidebook that explains in detail about micro teaching. For this reason, this book has been prepared to meet the needs of students of the education faculty (tarbiyah) and teachers and lecturers who teach Micro teaching courses. Apart from that, it can also be guided by micro teaching programs which aim to increase the professionalism of in-service teachers.

The presence of this book cannot be separated from the help and support from various parties. For this reason, the author would like to thank, especially to the teachers participating in the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG), students of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTK) UIN Suska Riau,) who have been a source of inspiration for the author to compose this book. Friends of the lecturers in the FTK environment, whose names I cannot mention one by one here, have stimulated the author's sharp thinking and analysis for educational and teacher studies.


Hopefully the material content of this application can be useful for self-introspection and better improvement in everyday life.
