Viewers will learn from California State Park interpreters, as well as members of the National Park Service, Save the Redwoods League, Tribal representatives, and others. Highlights include climbing a 350-foot tall ancient redwood with the help of some of world’s leading canopy biologists, and exploring a traditional Yurok redwood plank house with State Park interpreters of Indigenous heritage.

This includes the heroic struggle 100 years ago to save the last 5% of the world’s ancient redwoods. Viewers will also learn about the unique animals and plants that make several of these parks part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve, and the work underway to transform once damaged lands into the “ancient redwood forests” of the future.
