The German Framework Road, launched in 1990, now extends from the mouth of the Elbe to Lake Constance, is divided into regional lines, touching six federal states (Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Hesse, Thuringia, Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg).

Under the motto "truss connects" have now joined nearly 100 half-timbered towns, to jointly present themselves. However, the German Framework Road connects not only unique landscapes, historic sites and carefully restored monuments, but also the people who live and work in it.
