The department is part of the rings Magdeburg Sport Team 90 eV
The sport of wrestling exists in Magdeburg since about 65 years and has a great tradition.

The division rings is one of the strongest of the association with around 120 members, reaching over many years excellent sporting success.

The wrestlers of the department have been fought for titles and medals at national championships and best investigations annually.

At the national championships our team has for several years one of the most successful club of Saxony-Anhalt.

The flagship of the department is the men's team. She successfully fights in the Oberliga North East and was in the years 1990, 1991 and between 1997 and 2007 sovereign Oberliga champions.

In order for the men's team was already 12 times win the title in the Oberliga Nord / Ost in a row.

In the meantime, fought the men's team five years in the 2. Bundesliga and came there every year a good middle course.
