Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) is dietetic students' core foundation and competency. Online learning leading to less clinical exposure during the COVID-19 pandemic runs into challenges of applying MNT knowledge and skills on patients by future dietitians. MyMNT is the first nutrition education mobile application that focuses on MNT. It is designed according to the development and changes of educational technology in teaching and learning in the 21st century, which is the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0). MyMNT is the best effective teaching for dietetic lecturers and effective learning and sustainable revising assistant for students apart from synchronous online learning. The application will also enhance the students’ interest in learning, improve critical thinking, and develop a nutrition intervention tailored to the patient needs. MyMNT is targeted towards student-centred learning, customisable according to their schedules and locations, being highly accessible to valuable references. Students can implement the Nutrition Care Process with personalised goals and nutrition therapy to improve patients' quality of life through this platform. Technology-mediated learning helps in improving students’ engagement and performance, enhancing the understanding in learning MNT, and ensuring students perform the best practices in dietetics in improving the quality of care. This app is a promising alternative learning experience to help dietetic students be highly-engaged in an active and efficient study environment in online learning, develop competency in the dietetic profession in healthcare settings, and increase graduate employability (GE) of students.
