Skiljelinjer is a design research project that explores how augmented reality and real-time decision making can aid collaborative practices. The Skiljelinjer app lets users collaborate on a shared design project, which anyone with an AR-compatible iOS device can participate in.

Each collaborative design project lasts for two months, is hosted by an art or design organization, and concerns a brief tied to a specific contemporary design issue.

Schedule for the coming 6 months:
December - January: KIBLIX art festival - deinstrumentalising the home in the age of corona.
February - March: Stockholm Design Week - antagonistic participatory program design.
April - May: Konsthall C - collaborative practices for small scale temporary urban design.

While each design project is hosted by a local institution the project is by no means tied to users in that area. The aim is to explore how a multitude of users can design together through the use of augmented reality and realtime decision making. At the same time, the project explores how remote working tools can influence collaborative design practices and vise versa.

The ongoing pandemic poses many problems for art and design practices. Skiljelinjer aims to explore how novel technology can find new ways to solve these obstacles.
