Neymar is one of the footballers who since 3 June 2013 joined Barcelona. Neymar started his football career when he joined the youth club Portuguesa Santista. In 2003, the son of former footballer Neymar da Silva Sr. joined the Santos academy which has also produced successful footballers such as Coutinho, Clodoaldo, Diego, Elano and Alex.

The man who was born on February 5, 1992, played for 5 seasons at the senior club Santos. His professional debut started when he was 17 years old where he played against Oeste in the last 30 minutes on 7 March 2009. The following week, Neymar scored his first goal in the match against Mogi Mirim. In his first season with Santos, Neymar managed to score 14 goals from 48 matches.

In the same year Neymar became Player of the Tournament and became the top scorer with 11 goals in the Brasilian Cup tournament. On 5 February 2012, he was just 20 years old when he scored his 100th goal as a professional footballer in a match against Palmeiran in the Cameonato Paulista event.

On 7 August 2013, this Brazilian nationality scored his first goal as a Barcelona player in a friendly match against the Bangkok National Team. Neymar first played for the Brazilian National team in the U-17 Championship in 2009. Since then, he has continued to appear for his country in the Brazilian national team from various levels of umut from U-20, U-23 to senior.
