The AOP Experiences app will provide users the opportunity to explore the surface of The Moon from the point of view of an Astronaut, finding out facts about the Apollo landings and surrounding planets. Users will also be able to explore our Solar System and known Universe along with a number of other features along the Astro Park trail, including the launching of the Saturn 5 rocket.

The Armagh Planetarium AR app makes use of Apple's advanced ARKit technologies, providing users with a marker based (or image based) Augmented experience. To use the app, simply locate one of the trigger images clearly identified within the app, and point your camera at the image to begin your experience. Follow the onscreen directions for ease of use.

The app is targeted at people of any age, young explorers motivated to explore our Universe, or those whom may have an interest in Space and Astronomy and even those who are simply interested I immersive technologies and experiences.

This app only works at the Armagh Planetarium in Ireland co. Antrim and is intended for those able to visit the site.
