In language (etymology) The word is derived from the word Qanata Qunut which means obedient to serve (to Allah). Qunut has several meanings, among others mean upright, devout worship, pray while standing, apply sincere and silent in prayer to listen to the reading priests.

The notion Qunut according to the terms (terminology), is the dhikr-dhikr special that includes the prayers and praise to God.
