Al-Nawawi's Forty is a book that contains forty honorable prophetic hadiths, compiled by Imam Al-Nawawi, who was committed to collecting them to be authentic.
“Among the scholars gathered the forty in the fundamentals of the religion, some in the branches, some in jihad, some in asceticism and some in sermons, and all of them are good intentions, may God be pleased with those who seek them. And I have seen the collection of forty more important than all of this, and it is forty hadiths that include all of that, and each hadith of them is a great rule of the religion, and the scholars have described it as the orbit of Islam on it, or describing Islam or a third of it or the like.”
