Since the sunrise of the ninth of Dhu al-Hijjah, the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God begin to flock to the level of Arafat to perform the greatest pillar of Hajj, which is standing in Arafat after they spent in the shrine of Mina on the day of Tarwiyah.
And the day of Arafat is one of the greatest days of God, in which slips are forgiven, and supplications are answered, and it is the day of perfecting the religion and completing blessings upon the Muslims.
Many prophetic hadiths have been mentioned in his virtues, exploits, and legitimate actions in him - for the pilgrim and for non-pilgrims.
Virtues of the Day of Arafa
Best days:
This is due to the hadith of Jabir on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said, “The best days are the Day of Arafa,” narrated by Ibn Hibban.
And he, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “There is no day better in the sight of God than the day of Arafah.
Legitimate actions on the day of Arafah
Fasting for non-pilgrims:
It was reported that his fasting - for someone other than the pilgrim - expiates God by it for the past year and the rest. What is meant by this is expiation for minor sins, for the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “Fasting the day of Arafa, I hope that God will expiate for the year before it and the year after it.”
As for the pilgrim, he should not fast until he is strong enough to stand and remember God Almighty at the level of Arafat, which is the day of forgiveness of sins and emancipation from the fire, and bragging about the people of the situation.
Increase in remembrance and supplication:
For his saying, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, “The best supplication is the supplication on the Day of Arafa, and the best of what I and the prophets before me said: There is no god but God alone, without partner, to Him belongs the kingdom, and to Him belongs praise, and He has power over all things.” Narrated by the companions of the Sunan.
It is also necessary to recite the talbiyah a lot in a loud voice: “Oh God, to you.. to you. There is no partner for you.”
It is also necessary to pray a lot on the Messenger of God, peace be upon him, and to seek forgiveness, and he should come up with all these supplications, sometimes he cheers, sometimes he grows up, sometimes he swims, sometimes he reads the Qur’an, and sometimes he prays to the Prophet, and sometimes he prays, and sometimes he asks for forgiveness and prays alone and in group.
It was proven from the Prophet - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - that the best supplication is the supplication on the Day of Arafat, he said: (The best supplication is the supplication on the Day of Arafa, and the best of what I and the Prophets before me have said: There is no god but God, alone, without partner, to Him belongs the kingdom, and to Him is all praise. Powerful), [1], so the Muslim should pray a lot on this blessed day, supplicating to God - the Exalted - with what was narrated from the Prophet - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - and it is desirable to pray for himself and his family, and for the fulfillment of his needs, and for the Muslims living among them, and the dead.
One of the greatest needs of the dead in his grave is diligence in praying for him for forgiveness, mercy, heaven, and freedom from Hellfire.
The Muslim turns to God - the Most High - to seek lawful and blessed provision, and it is better for the Muslim to supplicate to God - the Most High - with the aforementioned supplications.
The servant turns to God - the Most High -; To relieve his distress, and relieve his distress, supplications have been proven in the Prophetic Sunnah to relieve worries, relieve distress, pay off debts, and acquire wealth.
