The official app of the "Map of the fishing community of the Mar Piccolo", a product created as part of the "FISH & CHIPS - Fisheries and Cultural Heritage, Identity and Participated Societies" project, funded by the Interreg VA Greece-Italy 2014 Program / 2020, which involved as Project Partners: University of Foggia, Puglia Region, Confcommercio Taranto, Ionian University and the Ministry of Culture and Sport of the Greek Republic.

The user can explore two different maps of Taranto: one dedicated to the fishermen of the Mar Piccola; one focused on the cultural experiences and itineraries that can be experienced on the spot.

The map can be explored through simple gestures: with the pinch it is possible to zoom the map and explore its details, while with the touch it is possible to move around the map.

Through the touch it is also possible to open a collection of insights shown on the map and read the content, specially designed and created by the sector experts involved in the project (archaeologists, researchers, etc.), to involve as large an audience as possible, made up of tourists, enthusiasts, scholars and residents.

The app is, to all intents and purposes, part of a broader transmedia project that brings together traditional and digital media, creating a complex and innovative communication system for the Cultural Heritage sector.
