Craque da Fluência is the ideal application for evaluating the reading fluency of elementary school students.
Fluency tests can be carried out both for diagnostic purposes (identifying students' current level) and for purposes of assessing reading fluency.
They assess two dimensions of reading fluency: speed and number of errors.
The student receives a text at an appropriate level for their grade level to read aloud. Depending on the result, the student may receive a higher or lower level test, until their level of fluency is determined.
The test lasts around 10 minutes and, at the end, the student receives a diagnosis of their reading level, containing words read per minute and number of words read incorrectly.
The 5 reading levels are classified as follows:

• Level 1 – 60 to 80 words per minute
• Level 2 – 80 to 90 words per minute
• Level 3 – 90 to 110 words per minute
• Level 4 – 110 to 130 words per minute
• Level 5 – 130 to 140 words per minute
