⚫ What is the process of gas booking? Consumers can book LPG cylinders online through the gas agency online booking website or by SMS. A cylinder can also be booked by calling the gas company (IVRS), as well as by visiting the gas agency that supplies the cylinders in your locality.

⚫ How long can a 12kg gas cylinder last? If you use a gas cylinder to cook for four people, you use around 70 g per hour. A 12.5 kg butane cylinder will therefore last around half a year. If you only use the cylinder for barbecues, the cylinder may last for up to four years.

⚫ How is gas subsidy calculated? The Centre provides subsidy, through direct bank transfer, on 12 LPG cylinders (14.2 kg) a year per household. So, many customers pay a subsidised rate of about ₹530-550 (current price) per cylinder. The subsidy amount changes month-on-month based on international LPG prices and currency fluctuations.
