Maher bin Hamad bin Muaqil Al-Muaiqly Al-Balawi (January 7, 1969), imam and preacher of the Grand Mosque.

He memorized the Noble Qur’an and studied Teachers College in Madinah, where he graduated as a mathematics teacher and moved to work in Makkah as a teacher, then became a student guide at Prince Abdul Majeed School in Makkah. He holds a master’s degree dated 1425 AH in the jurisprudence of Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal at the College of Sharia at Umm Al-Qura University and a doctorate in interpretation. He works as an assistant professor in the Department of Judicial Studies at the College of Judicial Studies and Regulations at Umm Al-Qura University and holds the position of Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.
He obtained a master’s degree from Umm Al-Qura University, College of Sharia, Department of Jurisprudence in 1425 AH. The thesis was entitled: Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal Jurisprudence Issues, according to the narration of Abd al-Malik al-Maimouni (collection and study), in which he received an excellent rating. He obtained his doctorate from Umm Al-Qura University in the year 1432 AH, which is the investigation of the book (Tuhfat Al-Nabih Sharh Al-Tanbih) on Borders and Districts (by Imam Al-Shirazi in Shafi’i jurisprudence).
He also obtained a doctorate thesis entitled "The Prophet's Masterpiece in Explanation of the Warning to Al-Zanklouni Al-Shafi'i, a Study and Investigation of the Chapter on Borders and the Judiciary." The thesis was discussed in the King Abdul Aziz Hall. Sheikh Dr. received his doctorate in jurisprudence with an excellent grade with first honors on Tuesday, Muharram 28, 1434 of the Hijra 11/12/2012, and he is one of the most famous reciters in the Islamic world. The Sheikh is distinguished by a beautiful and wonderful voice.
