AMCRA is the federal knowledge center for everything related to antibiotic use and resistance in animals in Belgium. AMCRA's mission is to collect and analyze all data related to the use of and resistance to antibacterial agents in animals in Belgium. Based on this, we want to communicate, raise awareness and advise in a neutral and objective manner with the aim of safeguarding public health, animal health and animal welfare as well as achieving a sustainable antibiotics policy in Belgium. AMCRA has been operational since 2012 and formulates advice with the aim of achieving a rational use of antibacterial agents in veterinary medicine in Belgium.
