Persatuan Islam (abbreviated as Persis) is an Islamic organization in Indonesia. It was founded on September 12, 1923 in Bandung by a group of Muslims who were interested in education and religious activities led by Haji Zamzam and Haji Muhammad Yunus.

It was established with the aim of providing an understanding of Islam in accordance with the original brought by the Prophet and giving a different view from the understanding of traditional Islam which was considered not original because it mixed with local culture, blindness, non-critical attitude, and did not want to explore Islam more in by opening the saheeh hadith books. Therefore, through the ulamas such as Ahmad Hassan, also known as Hassan Bandung or Hassan Bangil, Persis introduced Islam which only originated from the Koran and Hadith (said the Prophet). Organizations of Islamic Unity have spread in many provinces, including West Java, East Java, DKI Jakarta, Banten, Lampung, Bengkulu, Riau, Jambi, Gorontalo, and many other provinces are in the process of pioneering. Exactly not a religious organization that is politically oriented but more focused on Islamic Education and Da'wah and seeks to uphold the teachings of Islam as a whole without being interfered with khurafat, shirk, and bid'ah which have spread widely among Muslim laymen.
