Al-Misbah Salat (AMS) is a completely FREE, light-weight, fast, easy to use & accurate prayers companion.
AMS is ads free & there are no surprises. It is simple, yet offers a wealth of features to suit your needs. With 25 calculation methods supported, AMS keeps you updated with the current prayer time by a selection of colour codings, alerts & pre-alerts.
A UNIQUE APPROACH TO PRAYER TIMES
- As well as start times for the prayers, AMS shows the end times to help plan your prayers.
- Current prayer is highlighted with one of 3 background colours - Green, Amber & Red based on 3 equally divided time slots for each prayer. This helps to keep an eye on the best times of prayer - which is at its earliest, & also to plan if delay is unavoidable.
- Careful thought has been put into calculating, & to allow adjusting all prayer times. E.g. many prayer apps ignore the fact that Zuhr is forbidden at exactly the zawaal time. In AMS, we have addressed it, & the Zuhr won’t show up during this time.
- With rich set of adjustments for advance use, any change to settings is automatically applied to all alerts, pre-alerts & reminders – to keep overall prayers time table consistent.
- AMS provides all the key prayer settings to choose from, like Asr method , High Latitude Support, Qiyaam start time, Hijri date adjustments. As a bonus, it also shows approximate moon phase based on the current Hijri date.
- Hijri date can be set to change at Maghrib , or at clock midnight.
SIMPLE & CLEAN INTERFACE
- AMS offers flexible display settings that show/ hide features as per your needs.
- You can show or hide all events except 5 main prayers.
- Enable/ disable azaan alert with a single click.
QIBLA COMPASS
- Simple to use, fast & accurate Qibla compass included that also shows distance to Kaaba.
INSTALL & GO
- AMS deploys with all settings ready so you don't have to bother about any changes from the word go. For interested users, it allows full customisation.
- Location detection is simple; & universal. Just make sure to turn on either WiFi or your mobile data when you install for the first time, or when you wish to change location manually or automatically when using Travel Mode.
TRAVEL MODE
- This allows you automatically update the current location and prayer times every 15 minutes. Up to 12 hours supported.
FASTING MODE
- This gives a quick view of imsaaq (suhoor end) and iftaar times for the day along with fast duration.
- You can adjust Suhoor & Iftaar timings as per your choice.
ISLAMIC REMINDERS & EVENTS
- A rich selection of Reminders can be set up for example - Payment of Zakat, Recitation of Surah Al-Kahf on Jumaa, or reminders for the fasts on the days of Arafaah or Aashoora.
- Explore the calendar of Islamic key dates & festivals for any Hijri Year.
DARK MODE & THEMES
- AMS comes loaded with many beautifully designed themes. Adaptive theme changes colours based on the time of the day.
- Dark mode works smoothly across all the screens of AMS.
TASBIH
- A simple Tasbih counter included with option to select regularly used zikr counts e.g. 33, 7,10,100.
ZAKAT CALENDAR
-Easy to use Hijri Zakat anniversary finder and calendar for 6 years. A payment reminder can be also added.
