This blood group is rare, i.e. it is found among less than 5% of the world’s population. In fact, till about 12 centuries ago, there was no AB group type. AB is a direct result of the intermingling of blood types A and B. This particular aspect gives it chameleon-like features. The people who have AB blood group can pick up both A and B type features.
